How to install DentiMax 20 and 24 Client Server on workstations.

Overview

This article covers installing the DentiMax CS (Client Software) on a workstation. This is the client application that connects to the DentiMax Server and is installed on each computer that needs to run DentiMax Practice Management.

Before You Begin

Confirm the following before proceeding:

  1. You have the installCS20.exe for DentiMax 20, or installCS24.exe for DentiMax 24, installer file available.
  2. The DentiMax Server is already installed and running on the server computer.

Additional Troubleshooting

Symptom Resolution
The installer doesn't have permissions to run Try running the installer as an administrator by right-clicking the installer file, and selecting Run as administrator.
The installer didn't create a shortcut Open File Explorer, and navigate to the location you installed DentiMax in (likely C:\Program Files (x86)\DentiMax). Find the file named dentimax.exe, right-click it, hover the cursor over Send to, and select Desktop (create shortcut). If you're on Windows 11, click Show more options after right-clicking the file to see Send to.
The installer says other applications are preventing the installation Make sure all conflicting applications are closed. If the conflicting application is an anti virus, you usually don't need to stop/close it. However, if the installation continues to fail to run, try stopping/closing the machine's anti virus until you are done installing DentiMax.
